The town of Palembang on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia will be the centre of the Sepaktakraw world's attention from 23 - 26 February 2012.
With the first ISTAF Super Series tournament in Thailand having set the benchmark for the new elite tournament series, the show now moves to Indonesia, where ISTAF will host the second ISTAF Super Series tournament of its inaugural season.
Officially billed as the ISTAF Super Series South Sumatra, Palembang Indonesia 2012, the tournament will take place between 23 and 26 February, with the final two days of the tournament being boardcast live, and being transmitted throughout ISTAF's extensive broadcast footprint.
On the court, the Men's World Rankings and the Women's World Rankings are both topped by Thailand, but there will be increased interest in whether the gap can be closed quickly. Malaysia and Indonesia are the closet challengers in the men's game, but all eyes will be on the fast-improving Japanese and Korean teams. In the women's draw, Vietnam continue to threaten the Thai dominance, but the resurgent Korean and Japanese women are matching their male counterparts stride for stride.
